In Mykolaiv, six condominium associations will receive funding to install solar power plants.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.

The relevant decision was made during a meeting of the commission for reviewing applications under the Revolving Fund program implemented by the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine.

Following the meeting, 6 applications for reimbursable financial assistance for the implementation of energy efficiency solutions were approved. All program participants plan to install solar power plants on the roofs of their homes.

According to the city's Energy Efficiency Center, the total amount of funding is UAH 1.62 million.

As part of this year's program, the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine has also allocated an additional UAH 1.5 million, which is already available to new participants.

The funds are provided as repayable financial assistance: HOAs must repay them in full by December 31, 2028. The resources received can be used exclusively for energy efficiency measures.

As Intent previously reported, in Mykolaiv, the court suspended the proceedings against the director of a construction company suspected of misappropriating budget funds during the repair of the roof of a high-rise building in the city. The reason was a repeat examination ordered due to contradictory findings of previous studies.

According to the investigation, the contractor performed the repairs under a contract with the City Council's Housing and Utilities Department for more than UAH 607,000. Law enforcement officials believe that the scope and cost of the work were overstated in the reporting documents. According to their calculations, the real cost was about UAH 560 thousand, which could have resulted in budget losses of more than UAH 47 thousand.

Law enforcement officers discovered possible corruption during the renovation of the high-rise last year. Back then, a judge ordered a second construction and technical expertise in the case against the director of Budtechnologiya-MK, who was accused of misappropriation of budget funds and forgery.
