The court found a resident of Mykolaiv guilty of passing on information about the movements of the Ukrainian military. She repented and voluntarily transferred UAH 500,000 to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the verdict of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.

According to the investigation, in April 2025, a woman at her place of residence in Mykolaiv, using an iPhone 11 mobile phone and a Telegram account, contacted an unidentified person who offered her assistance in installing video surveillance cameras to collect information on the movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.

The woman agreed to the offer and followed the instructions. She understood that the information transmitted could be used by the aggressor state to harm military facilities, infrastructure and people.

For this purpose, she purchased an additional Poco C65 mobile phone, a CCTV mini-camera with an external battery and a SIM card of one of the mobile operators. On May 25, 2025, the defendant installed the camera near the window of a rented apartment in Mykolaiv, disguising it as a juice box, and the mobile phone as a box of household products. The camera allowed remote surveillance of the road and the territory, and the information was transmitted to an unidentified person in real time.

It was established that on May 31 and June 4, 2025, the woman transmitted data on the movement of the National Guard of Ukraine in Pavlohrad, Dnipro region, which was not available in open sources of the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, the GUR or the SBU.

On December 12, 2025, a plea agreement was concluded between the prosecutor of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and the accused. The woman fully admitted her guilt, sincerely repented and gave a confession.

The court approved the agreement and found the defendant guilty of committing a criminal offense. Given that her illegal actions did not lead to serious consequences and did not cause material damage, she was released from serving a three-year probationary sentence.

In addition, the court imposed obligations on the woman: to periodically report to the probation authorities and to notify them of any changes in her place of residence, work or study. As part of the agreement, the defendant transferred 500 thousand hryvnias to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as charity.

Another resident of Mykolaiv, who had been working for enemy special services for a year and a half, will spend the next 15 years behind bars. The court found the 66-year-old man guilty of high treason and illegal possession of weapons.
