In Mykolaiv, a court sentenced a man who passed information about the location of Ukrainian military to Russian special services. He sent coordinates, photos, and text messages with details about the Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
This is evidenced by the verdict of the Korabelnyi District Court of Mykolaiv.
In Mykolaiv, the court considered the case of a local resident who was accused of passing data on the location of Ukrainian military to Russian special services. The man used a messenger to send coordinates, photos and text messages about the possible location of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Mykolaiv district.
As the investigation established, from June to August 2024, the accused, using his own Telegram account, corresponded with the administrator of a pro-Russian channel who worked for the special services of the aggressor country. In the messages, he indicated where the Ukrainian military and territorial recruitment centers could be located.
In particular, he wrote:"In Oktyabrske, there is a music school near the crossing, near the market. There are 30-40 TCCs sleeping there. You can catch the moment, if there is something better, and bomb. I will try to take a video or a photo. I'll send them, the area is open, there's a market nearby."
He then sent a message with information about the location of the AFU servicemen, and later sent another screenshot showing the recreation center. Law enforcement officers documented that the transmitted information about the locations of the Armed Forces units and military equipment was not published in the public domain.
In court, the accused pleaded guilty. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 8 years in prison.
Another resident of Mykolaiv region, who justified Russian aggression against Ukraine and praised the actions of the occupiers, avoided imprisonment. The investigation established that he sent messages to users via messenger denying Russian armed aggression, glorifying the Russian military and spreading propaganda, as well as providing information about the movement of Ukrainian equipment and the real facts of hostilities.
