A resident of Mykolaiv, who had produced a fake certificate of a person liable for military service and a certificate of a military medical examination, was put in the dock. He presented the fake documents when leaving for Moldova, but the man was exposed by border guards.

This information is contained in the verdict of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast.

According to the case file, in early September 2023, during general mobilization, a resident of Mykolaiv decided to forge a temporary certificate of a person liable for military service and a medical certificate in order to move around Ukraine without any problems, including through checkpoints where documents are checked.

To do this, he found an ad on the Internet where he was offered clichés with a stamp and stamps for making documents for 3000 hryvnias. Having bought these clichés, he created fake documents on his computer, which contained false information that he was not subject to military service.

On February 14, 2024, while at the Mayaky-Udobne-Palanka checkpoint in Odesa region, the defendant presented these forged documents to an SBU officer, hoping to avoid being checked and not be subject to mobilization, but his plan was discovered.

The defendant pleaded guilty and agreed to a simplified trial without a court hearing.

The court found the man guilty of committing criminal offenses under Parts 1 and 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Taking into account the absence of aggravating circumstances, the judge fined him UAH 17 thousand.

Recently, the Baltskyi District Court of Odesa Region delivered a verdict in a bribery case related to mobilization evasion. The defendant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a fine. And Malynovskyi District Court of Odesa found a serviceman guilty of falsely reporting a bomb threat to the court and sentenced him to 5 years and a month in prison.

Earlier, Intent wrote that the court ruled on the case of a serviceman who did not return to duty after a vacation. The soldier of the military unit was accused of unauthorized leaving the place of service.
