Mykolaiv region is on fire: 57 fires in one day

Last Saturday alone, on July 12, 57 fires broke out in Mykolaiv. It was hot not only in terms of temperature but also in terms of the fire situation in the region. There were 39 fires in open areas, 12 in the private sector, and two more in facilities and transportation.

This was reported by the press center of the State Emergency Service.

Of all the fires, only one was caused by enemy shelling.

Harvest residues were extinguished three times in Voznesensky, Pervomaisky and Mykolaiv districts.

Dead wood, garbage, and reeds were burning in Vesnianska, Voskresenska, Pervomaiska, Shevchenkivska, Berezanska, Halytsynivska, Chornomorska, Koblivska TG of Mykolaiv district, Sofiivska, Snihurivska, Bereznehuvatska, Bashtanska, Volodymyrivska, and Horokhivska TG, Kazanivska, Novobuzka TG of Bashtanka district, Domanivska, Bratska, Pivdenoukrainska, Oleksandrivska, Prybuzka, Veselynivska TG of Voznesensk district, Kryvoozerska TG of Pervomaisk district, and the cities of Nova Odesa, Snihurivka, Bashtanka, Pervomaisk, and Mykolaiv. The total area of the fires was over 53 hectares.

A total of 180 employees and 45 pieces of equipment were employed by the SES. Firefighters from the local fire brigades of Koblevo, Rybakivka, Halytsynove, Shevchenkove, Oleksandrivka, Horokhivske, Lymanets, Pryvilne, Volodymyrivka, Voskresenskoye were involved, as well as auxiliary equipment for water supply from local private companies.

We also recently wrote about how residential buildings and a school were damaged by a drone attack.

In addition, the Russian army attacked the waters of the Ochakiv community three times with FPV drones. There were no casualties.

A few days ago, a weekly event was held in the very center of Mykolaiv to remind people of Ukrainian war prisoners and missing defenders. Despite the shelling, about 170 people joined the event.
