A reminder rally was held in Mykolaiv: 170 people joined despite the shelling

On Sunday, July 6, the weekly action to remind of Ukrainian prisoners of war and missing defenders was held in the center of Mykolaiv. Despite the shelling, about 170 people joined the event.

This was reported by Suspilne.

Participants held posters with the names of soldiers who are in captivity or whose fate remains unknown. The main goal of the action is to constantly remind society and the authorities that the war is ongoing and that hundreds of Ukrainian defenders need to be released.

A special moment of the event was the greeting of Oleksandr Fartushnyi, a soldier who was released from Russian captivity in March 2025. He joined the rally to support the families of those who have not yet returned home.

The organizers called for continued attention to the issue of prisoners of war and missing persons, emphasizing that each such rally is not just a show of support, but also pressure on the international community to speed up the exchange.

On the morning of Sunday, July 6, Russian occupation forces attacked the city of Mykolaiv with a group of attack drones. As a result, a 31-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were injured.

The woman was taken to a medical facility. Emergency services are working at the scene of the attack. In the city, 10 residential buildings, a bank building, and a catering facility were damaged.

The night of July 6 was also turbulent for Mykolaiv region, as the region suffered another massive attack by Shahed-type attack drones. The air defense forces were actively working, and some of the drones were shot down, but some of the enemy drones reached their targets.

In Mykolaiv, the port infrastructure was hit, damaging warehouses and power grids. However, there were no deaths or injuries among the civilian population.
