Mykolaiv region director accused of misappropriation of budget funds

In Mykolaiv region, the case of an enterprise director who embezzled more than UAH 276 thousand for the reconstruction of an educational institution has been sent to court

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The report says that prosecutors of the Mykolaiv District Prosecutor's Office sent to court an indictment against the director of a local limited liability company under Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: misappropriation of another's property by abuse of office on a large scale, and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - entering false information into official documents by an official.

The investigation established that the director of the LLC, abusing his official position, during the reconstruction of a secondary school in Voskresenskoye village, Mykolaiv district, entered knowingly false information about the amount of work actually performed into the acceptance certificates for the construction works. In this way, he misappropriated budget funds in the amount of over UAH 276 thousand.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the Investigation Department of the Police Department No. 2 of the Mykolaiv District Police Department of the Main National Police in Mykolaiv region.

The suspect faces imprisonment for up to eight years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

Earlier, it was reported that an employee of a penal colony in Mykolaiv region had set up a drug supply channel for prisoners. Law enforcement officers completed the investigation and sent the indictment to court.
