Mykolaiv MP's company received a contract worth three million for a day's work

The company of the Mykolaiv MP signed an agreement to repair the road for more than three million. The contract was signed on December 19, and the selected contractor has until December 20, 2024 to provide the service.

This was reported by the publication Antikorruptionnyi Vymir with reference to the electronic public procurement system Prozorro.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, a company associated with Mykolaiv MP Serhiy Shulhach received additional funds from the city budget.

On December 19, the Department of Housing and Communal Services of Mykolaiv City Council signed an agreement adding UAH 3.1 million to the existing contract for the overhaul of road infrastructure on Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue. The term of service provision is until December 20, 2024.

The contractor is Mykolaivmagistral, a company owned by the Shulhach family. The first contract with this company was signed in March 2024. Back then, the cost of the work amounted to UAH 8.6 million. Since then, the terms and amounts have been changed several times, and now the cost of the facility has increased to UAH 11.7 million.

"Mykolaivmagistral was registered in 2021 with a minimum authorized capital of UAH 2 thousand. Nevertheless, the company regularly holds tenders, and the total amount of the company's budget contracts has already exceeded UAH 1.6 billion.

Sergiy Shulhach is a deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council from the Propozytsiya party. According to the Chesno portal, he is among the deputies with the largest real estate assets. The Shulgachs also own other businesses, including Mykolaivtransport plus, which has signed budget deals worth millions of hryvnias in the past.

Also in Mykolaiv, a thirty million contract for repair of the water supply system was awarded to a firm that was accused of overcharging in the same tender. Only one bidder, OdesaSpetsenergo LLC, submitted its proposal and was awarded a contract worth more than UAH 33 million. According to the contract, the contractor has to complete the reconstruction of the water supply system by December 31, 2024.

And the sixteen-million-dollar renovation of akindergarten in Mykolaiv region was awarded to a company with a dubious past. Only one bidder, Antares-BUD LLC, which has repeatedly been involved in both journalistic and criminal investigations, submitted its proposal.
