In Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officers detained a lawyer who tried to bribe a border guard for smuggling a person liable for military service across the border. The woman was served a notice of suspicion for offering a bribe.
This was reported by the communication department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
In Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officers exposed a 52-year-old lawyer who organized the illegal transportation of a man of military age across the border. The operation was carried out by operatives of the Internal Security Department of the Kherson Border Guard Detachment jointly with the SBU.
The woman offered a bribe of USD 3 thousand to a border guard to help him smuggle the citizen. However, the serviceman refused the money and immediately informed his superiors about the bribery attempt.

During the investigation, the offender was detained when she was handing over the first part of the bribe - USD 1.5 thousand.
The operation was conducted under the procedural supervision of the Mykolaiv Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region. The woman has already been served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code - offering, promising or giving an unlawful benefit to an official.
Earlier in Mykolaiv, the court considered the case of a junior sergeant suspected of extortion of an undue benefit for assistance in evading mobilization. The court ordered the seizure of his property, including cash, documents, a telephone and a car. The soldier offered "assistance" in evading mobilization for $4,500.
A doctor of the military medical commission from Mykolaiv region was also fined for taking a bribe and forging medical documents. He pleaded guilty, entered into an agreement with the investigation and was banned from working in state and municipal medical institutions for a year.
