In 2024, Mykolaiv received UAH 3.6 billion in humanitarian and technical assistance from international partners. This support helps to improve the city's infrastructure and ensure the stable functioning of its systems in difficult times.

Also in 2024, Mykolaiv signed 3 memorandums of partnership. These are: Glasgow, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; Sindelfingen, Germany; and Kotka, Finland. International relations with the United States are being established.

The first Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on August 19, 2022, by Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych and Danish Minister for International Development Flemming Møller Mortensen. The document envisaged broad cooperation between Mykolaiv and Denmark in rebuilding our city and implementing best practices of transparency and accountability.

In addition, in October, French philanthropists handed over a batch of humanitarian aid to Mykolaiv hospitals. In addition to medical supplies, the region received power generators.

As part of the Emergency Recovery Program, the Government of Japan, through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), provided international technical assistance, including the necessary equipment for the city's utilities. The city received UAH 108.5 million in aid from Japan.
