The Mykolaiv delegation took part in the National Forum on Strategic Planning for Regional Development. The event became a platform for discussing key areas of recovery and growth prospects for local communities.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

On Wednesday, February 6, the National Forum "Strategic Planning at the Regional Level: From Recovery to Development" was held in Kyiv. The event summarized a series of strategic sessions held in December 2024 - January 2025.

Mykolaiv region was represented by a delegation headed by Mykola Marinov, Deputy Head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration. It included representatives of urban, settlement and rural territorial communities, in particular from Snihurivska, Pervomaiska, Koblivska and Sukhoyelanetska communities, as well as the Mykolaiv Regional Development Agency.

The forum presented a new territorially-oriented approach to strategic planning, identified priorities for the restoration and development of macro-regions, reviewed the features of functional territories, and discussed key indicators that determine the future of Ukrainian regions.

In addition, the participants had the opportunity to work in small groups, where they exchanged experiences, shared successful practices, and made suggestions for community development based on their individual characteristics.

The forum has become a platform for constructive dialogue between local government representatives, experts and international partners, which will contribute to the further recovery and development of local communities.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Communities and Territorial Development of Ukraine together with UNDP with the support of the Government of Japan.

Recently, six communities in Mykolaiv Oblast joined the national initiative "Side by Side: United Communities!". The project aims to unite the efforts of Ukrainian communities to support the settlements most affected by the war.

Last year, Mykolaiv communities presented new opportunities for cooperation and investment to their Danish partners. At the meeting, a new model of interaction was proposed: some communities in the region began to cooperate with communities in Denmark. In addition, it is planned to develop projects for the thermal modernization of educational institutions and the introduction of solar panels in all community institutions.
