In Mykolaiv region, a court convicted in absentia an organizer and two of her accomplices who collaborated with Russian invaders and facilitated their activities during the occupation of the region.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the three offenders were found guilty of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state.

According to the investigation, in 2022, when the Russian military seized part of the Bashtanka district, the invaders created an illegal government body - the "military-civilian administration of the Oleksandrivska ATC". A local resident who supported the Russian occupation was appointed to head it.

Realizing that she could not cope with the task alone, she formed a criminal group. It included two other women - one became her first deputy, and the other headed the so-called "village settlement" of Horokhivske village.

In their pseudo-posts, they worked closely with the occupation administration of the Russian Federation, conducted propaganda activities, participated in meetings with local residents and convinced them to support the Russian occupation.

Their activities culminated in a pseudo-referendum in September 2022 on the "accession" of the occupied territories to Russia.

The court sentenced the group's organizer to 12 years in prison and her two accomplices to 10 years. In addition to imprisonment and confiscation of property, the convicts are banned from holding any positions in government or local government for 15 years.

Intent has already written about how a resident of Pervomaisk was sentenced to 6 years in prison for justifying the war, calling for the overthrow of the government and disseminating information about the movement of military equipment.

Earlier in Mykolaiv, a spy was convicted of treason during the war. The accused worked as an electrician at the Nibulon company.

The Mykolaiv court also decided to extend the arrest of a suspect in assisting Russia in the war against Ukraine. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
