A meeting of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council will be held on April 23, 2025 at 10:00. The members of the executive committee will consider issues related to the storage of waste from shelling, the cost of meals in educational institutions, the reconstruction of the water supply system, and others.

This was reported by the press service of Mykolaiv City Council.

The agenda includes 87 issues, 4 of which are related to guardianship.

Among other things, members of the executive committee will update the list of humanitarian assistance under the U-LEAD with Europe Program for the needs of the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community.

They will also consider a draft decision on amendments to the Mykolaiv Economic and Social Development Program for 2024-2026 regarding the reconstruction of the water supply system and boiler room of Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 23 and participation in the implementation of investment projects through co-financing.

In addition, the decision to organize and hold an open all-Ukrainian architectural competition for the best project proposal for the restoration of the architectural monument of the Officers' Assembly complex is to be considered.

Six issues concern the dismantling of temporary structures. They also plan to consider the redistribution of expenditures for 2025 for the Department of Housing and Communal Services, which concerns the organization of landscaping (UAH 50,000) and the restoration of housing facilities damaged as a result of armed aggression (UAH 50,000).

One of the most pressing issues for the community, which is also on the agenda of the executive committee members, is the introduction of a test mode for the temporary storage of waste from the destruction.

Among other things, the agenda includes setting the cost of meals in educational institutions and making amendments to the draft decision on the Program for Reforming and Developing Housing and Communal Services in Mykolaiv for 2025-2029.

Recently, the city council's standing committee recommended that former regional council deputy Yurii Kormyshkin be removed from the executive committee. This issue has been brought up at the session several times, but each time there are not enough votes to pass the decision. Discussions about the expediency of his staying in the executive committee continue.

In addition, the deputies did not support the draft law on the participation of utility companies in public procurement on behalf of city council departments. Despite the arguments of the Department of Housing and Communal Services about the simplification of the procedure and possible cost savings, the deputies had doubts about the control and transparency of such a mechanism. The issue was postponed to the next plenary session.
