The Mykolaiv City Council has allocated UAH 3 million to replenish the revolving fund, which will be used to finance energy efficiency projects and modernize residential buildings.
This was announced by Alla Lutska, Director of the Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Innovative Technologies.
These funds will be transferred to the Association of Energy Cities of Ukraine, which will enable condominiums to receive interest-free loans for the repair and modernization of their buildings.
The director emphasized that the deputies supported the initiative almost unanimously, which is an important step for the development of energy efficiency in the city. In addition, the Warm Mykolaiv program continues to operate, providing condominiums with funds to compensate for repair costs.
Last year, 23 condominiums received almost UAH 9 million for these purposes, and in 2023, repair payments were allocated to 10 condominiums in the amount of more than UAH 5.5 million.
Over UAH 48 million was allocated for the energy saving program in Mykolaiv. It is planned to repair and insulate the city's kindergartens, overhaul power grids and boiler houses.
The Department of Energy has also been allocated UAH 2 million 425 thousand to support the activities of the Mykolaiv Energy Efficiency Center.
Compared to 2024, total expenditures increased by UAH 15 million, or 1.45 times; compared to 2023, expenditures decreased by UAH 15 million 336 thousand 960, or 1.32 times.
In October, Mykolaiv increased heat supply tariffs for enterprises and established two-rate tariffs. The city plans to increase tariffs for businesses and companies by 8-11 percent.
Against the backdrop of constant hostile attacks on the energy infrastructure, measures have been taken to achieve energy independence in the region. Twenty-five solar power plants have been installed at social facilities and 29 at utility companies. Seven new cogeneration units are planned to be installed by the end of 2024.
