More than 500 companies in Kherson region have tax debt

In 11 months of 2024, according to the Register of Enforcement Proceedings, there are 509 companies in Kherson region from which the Tax Service is trying to collect debts.

According to Opendatabot analysts, a total of 25,225 enforcement proceedings have been opened since the beginning of the year due to tax debts of businesses Most of the businesses from which the tax authorities are collecting debts are located in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovska oblast.

"The State Tax Service is more active in collecting tax debts from businesses. This year, more enforcement proceedings have already been opened than in the whole of last year: 25.2 thousand against 22.2 thousand. This is also 22% more than in the whole of 2021, when 20.6 thousand proceedings were opened," the report says.

The analysts added that more than 3 thousand tax debts of businesses have been outstanding since 2021.

A company may have a tax debt due to non-payment of taxes, violation of declaration deadlines, etc. Accordingly, debt collection enforcement proceedings in favor of the State Tax Service are tax debts that have been subject to court enforcement but have not been paid by the debtor voluntarily.

Most of the companies from which the Tax Service is trying to collect debts are registered in Kyiv - 5.7 thousand or 23% of the total number this year. Dnipropetrovs'k region follows with 4,500 such businesses (18%). Zaporizhzhia region closes the top three: 1.3 thousand or 5.2% of tax debts.

Among the southern regions, Odesa region has the largest number of companies with tax debts - 1,081, Kherson region has 509 such firms, and Mykolaiv region has the fewest - 442.

Among all companies in Ukraine, the Zbruch sanatorium (Ternopil region) currently has the most tax debts - 77 proceedings, and almost all of them were opened this year. It is followed by Myrhorod Bakery No. 1 (Poltava region) with 70 debts due to unpaid taxes. Lers (Dnipropetrovs'k region) closes the top three debtors with 44 active proceedings.
