Modular Town for IDPs Opens in Chornobaivska Community, Kherson Region

The modular town for internally displaced persons in the Chornobaivska community is ready to receive residents of the Kherson region. The first residents have already appeared there

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

The post says that internally displaced persons from among people who lost their homes because of Russia, large families, families with children, people with disabilities, combatants, elderly residents of the region, families of deceased veterans and victims of the Chornobyl disaster can settle there.

It is noted that the town has four modules. Each of them has 21 living rooms with four beds, two showers, two restrooms, a laundry room, a play area, and a kitchen-dining room. In total, 336 people can live here at the same time. Comfortable living conditions have been created for them. All rooms have appliances, furniture, and other necessary equipment. In addition, there is a playground for families with children. There, kids will be able to spend their free time in an interesting and useful way.

Earlier it was reported that during her visit to Kherson region on July 23, Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, visited the Chornobayivska community to see the progress of restoring the kindergarten destroyed by Russia and arranging the modular town. At that time, most of the work was completed, and the process of connecting to the power grid was underway.

It was also said that another humanitarian hub for IDPs from Kherson region would soon be opened in Kropyvnytskyi.
