The Kyiv City Commercial Court has announced the date and time of the preparatory hearing on the lawsuit filed by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office against Odesa Regional Council, the Regional Council's Department for Property Relations, and Krok Vpered Limited Liability Company.

As stated in the court order, the preparatory hearing is to be held on January 22 at 15:15.

The history of the case began in 2019 when employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau searched the premises of the Dumska TV channel on Kanatna Street. The NABU explained its actions by investigating possible abuses by officials of the Odesa Regional Council during the sale of non-residential premises at the following address: 13 Lidersivskyi Boulevard to the Krok Vpered company.

Prior to that, NABU reported that it was investigating the circumstances of the privatization deal for the building on Lidersivskyi Boulevard in Odesa. Deputies of the Odesa Regional Council voted to sell the architectural monument at 13 Lidersivskyi Boulevard to a company that had leased it nine months earlier.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office is now demanding that the decision of the Odesa Regional Council "On Approval of the List of Jointly Owned Objects of Territorial Communities of the Region Subject to Privatization" be invalidated, which, among other things, gave the tenant the right to lease premises at 13 Lidersovskyi Boulevard, including Dacha Marazli. The prosecutors also demanded that the sale and purchase agreement for the property of these premises concluded between Krok Vpered LLC and the Regional Council's Property Relations Department be invalidated.

Initially, the case was heard by the Odesa Commercial Court, but on February 17, 2022, the case was transferred to the Kyiv Commercial Court.
