Kherson region under fire again: Russians shell residential areas and wound people

During the day, the Russian army shelled Kherson region 24 times with various types of weapons. The attacks resulted in four casualties.Police in Kherson region are documenting the consequences of shelling by Russian troops.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson region.

Kherson, Stanislav, Novotyanka, Sadove, Ingulets, Kizomys, Prydniprovske, Antonivka, Velytenske, Beryslav, Osokorivka, Zmiivka, and Tyahyntsi suffered from enemy combined attacks.

In Kherson district, the police recorded damage to 65 buildings: 30 private houses and eight multi-storey buildings, a lyceum, 13 cars, a service station, two shops, warehouses, garages and gas pipelines.

In Stanislav, a 68-year-old woman was wounded by enemy artillery fire, and a lyceum and two private houses were damaged. Novotyanka and Inhulets suffered from artillery attacks, where two women aged 76 and 46 were wounded and 11 houses were damaged.

In addition, during the day, Russians attacked Beryslav with a drone. A 69-year-old man was injured as a result of the explosion of a munition dropped from the drone.

As for the regional center, in Kherson, the Russian army shelled private houses, a business and cars in the Northern district, a factory in the Korabelny district, and high-rise buildings and a park in the Dniprovsky district.

All specialized services were working at the sites of the Russian attacks to provide assistance to the victims, eliminate and document the consequences of the shelling.

According to the Air Force Command, the Russian army used 31 kamikaze drones to shell Ukraine on the night of February 23. The drones were launched from Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea.

Russia also used an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile from the occupied Donetsk region, as well as an X-31P anti-radar missile and two X-22 cruise missiles from the Black Sea.
