The SBU has served a notice of suspicion to collaborators who worked for the enemy in the occupation structures in Kherson region.
According to the agency's press service, the Security Service documented the illegal activities of two more residents of Kherson region who voluntarily cooperated with the invaders upon their arrival.
One of the defendants became the so-called "deputy head of the Kherson fire safety unit" as part of the "paramilitary guard" of the State Unitary Enterprise Kherson Railway. In this "position", he exercised general management of the "paramilitary formation". The collaborator supervised the maintenance of fire equipment by his subordinates and its maintenance for the needs of the occupiers. In addition, he conducted activities with the personnel of fire units to improve their "combat readiness". The SBU investigators served the offender a notice of suspicion under Part 7 Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For this crime, he faces imprisonment for up to 15 years.
Another enemy accomplice agreed to work for the occupation authorities as the so-called "head of the Chaplynsk operational site" in the illegal government agency "State Unitary Enterprise "Kherson Region Water Resources Basin Management". This pseudo-official also controlled the work of the illegal authority and managed the property of the seized enterprise. He recruited "those willing" to work with him and paid them salaries in Russian rubles. It is noted that the SBU served the offender a notice of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 (collaboration) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For collaborating with the enemy, he faces 10 years in prison and confiscation of property.
The investigation is conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
