Kherson hosted the first meeting of the competition committee for awarding personalized one-time scholarships of the Kherson City Council to support gifted schoolchildren, students, and active youth of the community, chaired by Deputy Mayor Alla Malytska.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson MBA.
The post says that after a long break, for the first time since 2018, Kherson has reopened the opportunity for talented young people to receive a city scholarship.
It is noted that the competition was launched in accordance with the order of the head of the Kherson MBA Yaroslav Shanko. In two weeks, 24 candidates have already applied and the application process is still ongoing.

During the meeting, the commission members discussed the course of the competition, the quality and completeness of the submitted applications, controversial issues and mistakes made during the paperwork. They also prepared for the next meeting to be held on December 1. Then 10 winners will be selected to receive scholarships.
"Kherson youth deserve support, opportunities and recognition. We have resumed this competition to encourage talents, development and civic engagement that shape the future of our community even in times of war," emphasized Alla Malytska.
The payments will be made under the Kherson Youth Program for 2021-2025.
Earlier it was reported that in December 2023, the commission for the selection of candidates for the Odesa Mayor's scholarship for gifted students of art schools in Odesa identified 10 students who will receive UAH 1.3 thousand per month for a year.
