Keeper reports on the consequences of the shelling of Odesa in the morning

The shelling of Odesa by Russian drones on the morning of November 9 led to the destruction of garages in the city.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper.

According to him, on November 9, another attack by enemy drones was recorded in the south of Odesa region. As a result of the Russian attack, several private garages were damaged, one of them was destroyed. There were no fires. Glazing in a multi-storey residential building was also damaged. There were no casualties.

On the night of November 9, the Russian army also attacked Odesa region with unmanned aerial vehicles, hitting civilian infrastructure. The fragments of enemy drones damaged private households. The garage and roofs of two residential buildings were destroyed. Fires broke out and were extinguished by rescuers.

On the night of November 9, the enemy attacked with 69 Shahed, Gerber and other types of attack drones. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense had neutralized 34 enemy drones. At the same time, 32 attack UAVs were hit at nine locations, and the downed ones fell at one location. A pre-trial investigation into war crimes has been launched.

On November 7, Odesa region was twice targeted by Russian attacks, in addition to the night attack the night before, the region was also attacked in the evening of the same day. Despite the effective work of the air defense forces, there was damage to the energy infrastructure in the south of the region. There were no reports of casualties or injuries. According to the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out at an energy infrastructure facility as a result of the strikes. The response efforts were complicated by repeated air raid alarms.
