The High Council of Justice has accepted the resignation of another judge. This is Anatoliy Zaikin, who worked at the Odesa Court of Appeal.

This became known from the HCJ's decision.

The High Council of Justice considered the issue of dismissing a judge from office under general circumstances. As a result of the meeting, it was decided to dismiss Anatolii Pavlovych Zaikin from the position of judge of the Odesa Court of Appeal in connection with his resignation, i.e. the judge resigned voluntarily.

On January 27, Anatoliy Zaikin published his resignation declaration. It contains rather modest assets for a representative of the judiciary.

According to the document, Zaikin and his wife live in a 146-square-meter apartment that he purchased in 2008. He also owns a land plot of 7.6 hectares, but its location is not specified.

The ex-judge drives a 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 120. During the year, he declared UAH 3 million in judicial salary and UAH 200 thousand in pension payments. In addition, he keeps about UAH 1.5 million in bank accounts and has cash savings of $80 thousand and 20 thousand euros.

One of Judge Zaikin's most recent well-known decisions concerned the reversal of a ruling by the Prymorskyi District Court, which had previously declared illegal the decision of the Odesa Regional Council of September 4, 2019, to terminate the contract with the director of the Odesa Art Museum, Oleksandr Roitburd.

Recently, Stepan Domuschi, a judge of the Fifth Administrative Court of Appeal based in Odesa, was dismissed. Before that, the judges elected him as the new chairman instead of Oleksandr Jaburia.

Earlier, the High Council of Justice decided to dismiss Serhiy Cherevko, a judge of the Malynovskyi District Court of Odesa.
