Russian kamikaze drones attacked the Izmail district of Odesa region, damaging port and tourist infrastructure.
This was reported by the Izmail District Military Administration.
"Despite the active work of the Air Defense Forces, which shot down some of the enemy drones, the attack damaged the port and tourist infrastructure. Fortunately, there were no casualties," the administration said.
On June 28, a nighttime attack by unmanned aerial vehicles in Odesa led to a fire in a high-rise building and the deaths of a couple. The fire broke out on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors of a 21-story residential building as a result of the hit. People were trapped in the apartments, and it was difficult to get to them due to the heavy smoke and high temperature. Rescuers were simultaneously rescuing people and extinguishing the fire.
According to the Air Force Command, on the night of June 28 (from 22.00 on June 27), the enemy attacked with 23 Shahed-type attack drones and various types of imitator drones from the following directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation, Chauda - TOT of Crimea. The main target of the attack was Odesa region.
On June 22, the Odesa regional prosecutor 's office reported that at night, the Russian armed forces attacked Odesa region with attack drones. Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district was under attack. Law enforcement officials launched an investigation into the commission of war crimes (Article 438, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Fires broke out at the site of the strikes, burning buildings on the territory of the ambulance station, a garage and a car in it, and a nearby residential building.
The next day, the Russians launched a missile attack on Odesa region and destroyed a local educational institution in the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. Two people were killed in the Russian strike in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
