Deputies of the Izmail City Council in Odesa Oblast were offered to consider a loan of UAH 50 million at a session on October 23.

An Intent correspondent reports this with reference to the relevant draft decision.

The loan funds will be used to finance the reconstruction, overhaul, and renovation of the city's medical facilities.

The main goal is to improve the quality of medical services for the residents of the Izmail community. Several investment projects are planned to be implemented as part of the loan financing:

The local borrowing will be made in the form of a loan agreement with the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine for a period of up to 60 months. Repayments will be made on a monthly basis. The interest rate should not exceed 22% per annum. The loan servicing costs will be covered by the budget of the Izmail city territorial community.

In August, Odesa City Council also took out a loan. The loan of UAH 623.4 million is to be taken from Ukreximbank. According to the document, the loan should be issued in the form of a non-revolving credit line for up to 36 months. According to the draft decision, repayment will begin in February 2026 and last until September 2028. The interest rate is variable, but will not exceed 22% per annum. There are no additional fees or collateral, and all debt service costs will be paid from the city budget.
