Izmail awarded the right to repair 500 meters of roads for UAH 6 million to a local company

The Housing and Communal Services Department of Izmail City Council has announced a search for a contractor to carry out the current repair of the road surface of Heroiv Azovstalii Street (Krasnodonska Street before it was renamed). The expected cost of the works is UAH 6 million 615 thousand.

This is reported in the Prozorro electronic procurement system.

The procurement was conducted in the format of open bidding with the participation of a single company, SMU-56 Limited Liability Company.

The company expects to receive UAH 6 million 487.4 thousand. According to the YouControl service, the LLC was registered in Izmail in 2018. The owner is a local resident Vitaliy Popov.

It is a section of Heroyiv Azovstalii Street from house number 103 to house number 123. These are all private houses of the townspeople. The tender states that this road is the route to the port facilities and transshipment points. The bakery "Khlibnyi Dim" owned by city council member Oleksandr Ivanov is located at number 125 on this street.

The repairs will be carried out from the intersection of Heroiv Azovstal and Zaporizka streets. According to Google Maps, the final repair site is about 500 meters away. A few meters of the asphalt surface is in more or less normal condition, and then numerous potholes and pits begin to appear, which vehicle drivers have to drive around like cones on a training ground while performing coordination exercises. Another few meters is a section of concrete slabs, and the rest is off-road without any kind of surface, with a heterogeneous terrain.

As stated in the tender documents, the contractor's workers will remove the old asphalt layer, arrange a base of sand and gravel mixtures, and then a leveling layer of asphalt concrete mixture. The warranty period for the work performed is 3 years.

The repairs must be completed by December 20 this year.
