A court in Odesa has ruled to recover more than UAH 2.8 million from the company, which the company unreasonably kept without paying rent for the use of 0.4 hectares of land.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors found that the company, which owns a hotel with an area of more than 7,000 square meters, used the land plot on Genoese Street in 2020-2023 but did not pay rent for it. Despite the legal requirements, the company did not enter into a lease agreement and actually used the community land for free. This resulted in a loss of local budget funds, which was the basis for the prosecutor's office to take the case to court.

The land in question was used by Firm Tverdiy, a limited liability company. The dispute over the land plot at 24A Genoese Street has been going on since last year. Back then, the Commercial Court recovered the money from the company at the request of the prosecutor's office, but the entrepreneurs disagreed and continued to litigate.

According to the YouControl service, Firm Tverdiy LLC was registered in 1995. The ultimate beneficial owners are Valeriy, Vasyl and Petro Tverdovsky. Valeriy Tverdovsky is the owner of the clubs Paladium, Ithaca, and the Atlantic Hotel, which is actually located at 24A Genoese Street.

Earlier, the prosecutor's office also notified the company's director of suspicion of unauthorized construction on the Lanzheron beach promenade. The director is suspected of unauthorized construction in a recreational area near the Black Sea coast. Since 2022, the hotel complex has been operating, the company has been making a profit, and part of the unauthorized land plot has been used for free. As a result of these actions, the local budget is losing money, and the local community is not using valuable land.
