Mykolaiv has allocated more than two hundred million from its 2025 healthcare budget. It is currently planned to allocate more funds to hospitals, maternity hospitals, and benefit programs.
This is evidenced by the draft decision "On the Budget of the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community for 2025".
According to the project description, the main goal of state policy in the field of healthcare is to ensure high performance and active longevity of citizens. The key tasks include eliminating harmful health factors, reducing morbidity, disability, and mortality, improving the quality of health care services, and ensuring social justice in the right to health care.
For 2025, healthcare expenditures are envisaged in the total amount of UAH 212 million 002 thousand 806. Of this amount, UAH 119 million 837 thousand 806 will be allocated from the general budget fund, and UAH 92 million 165 thousand will be allocated from the special fund formed at the expense of the development budget.
The Health Care Department of Mykolaiv City Council will receive UAH 192 million 237 thousand 806, and the Capital Construction Department will receive UAH 19 million 765 thousand.
The main funding programs will be directed to:
Funding for 2025 takes into account the implementation of the reform of financing medical institutions in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On State Financial Guarantees of Medical Care for the Population". Special attention was paid to supporting municipal healthcare facilities.
Also, almost half a million hryvnias will be allocated for recreation on the Odesa inclusive beach for people with special needs. The relevant changes were made to theMykolaiv without Barriersprogram for 2024-2026. The service will be provided through a tender procurement process.
In addition, a new item in the socio-economic development program was approved. It is planned to purchase a building to set up a prosthetic and orthotic workshop. The workshop will, among other things, provide free prosthetics for military personnel, which will help restore the functions of lost limbs and improve the quality of life of patients.
