On July 17, Russian troops attacked port infrastructure in Mykolaiv with rocket-powered drones. The strike killed two Ukrainian citizens and damaged three civilian vessels flying foreign flags.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, the Russians used Shahed-238 drones to attack the city’s port infrastructure.

The strike damaged three civilian vessels flying foreign flags, which were moored at port facilities at the time of the attack.

One of the strikes hit a foreign vessel carrying two Ukrainian citizens. Both were killed.

Law enforcement officials are currently documenting the aftermath of the attack and recording yet another war crime committed by Russian forces.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the Russian attack under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the laws and customs of war, resulting in loss of life.

Port infrastructure in the Odesa region is also under regular enemy attack. The Russians are attacking ships flying foreign flags and other facilities.
