In Mykolaiv, a court refused to suspend Dr. Zakhar Tkach from his duties; he is suspected of falsifying a disability certificate for a person subject to military conscription. The prosecutor argued that the doctor’s continued employment could hinder the investigation.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.
According to law enforcement, the orthopedic surgeon at the Municipal Emergency Medical Care Hospital was involved in preparing documents to obtain a third-group disability status for the man without proper medical grounds.
Investigators believe that Tkach, together with a surgeon, arranged for the preparation of the necessary documents and ensured the patient underwent formal medical procedures. Following this, a team of experts assigned the man a third-degree disability classification.
In April, the doctor was notified of the charges against him and taken into custody without the right to bail. Subsequently, the court set bail at 1.3 million hryvnias; after it was posted, the doctor was released from pretrial detention.
The prosecutor requested that Tkach be additionally suspended from his position for two months. The prosecution argued that he could influence witnesses, documents, and other participants in the proceedings.
The court found insufficient grounds for such a decision and denied the request to suspend the doctor.

As Intent reported, one stage of the scheme involved instructing the client: before appearing before the commission, he was taught how to simulate symptoms of illness.
