The prosecutor's office brought to court the case of a 62-year-old teacher from Kherson who headed a department at the occupiers' pseudo-university and implemented Russian standards. She will be tried for collaboration.

According to the press service of the National Police in Kherson region, the accused, a doctor of psychology, voluntarily accepted the occupiers' offer to head a department at an educational institution illegally established by the Russians during the occupation of the city. This "university" was organized on the basis of the seized Kherson State University and worked according to Russian educational standards.

The woman was appointed acting head of the Department of Applied Psychology. She was actively involved in organizing the work of the department and implementing the educational standards of the aggressor state. On the eve of the liberation of Kherson, the occupiers moved their "university" to the temporarily occupied Skadovsk, and the suspect fled there to continue her activities.

Law enforcement officers classified her actions as collaboration under Part 3 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the indictment was approved by the regional prosecutor's office and submitted to the court. She now faces up to three years in prison and a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years.

Recently, the court announced the sentences of two pensioners for managing occupation schools in Kherson region. They were convicted of collaboration, but so far in absentia.

In addition, a former lyceum director from the Kakhovka district of Kherson region, who was engaged in propaganda and helped to implement Russian standards in education, will be brought to trial. The woman conducted propaganda activities, forcing students and staff to sing the Russian anthem every morning.
