The Executive Committee of the Izmail City Council has approved changes to the city's program of social support for defenders of Ukraine, allocating UAH 7 million 90 thousand from the local budget for its implementation in 2025.
This was reported by an Intent correspondent with reference to the decision of the executive committee No. 1298. The main areas of use of funds.
UAH 857 thousand will be allocated to provide targeted financial assistance:
- partial coverage of the cost of treatment and purchase of medicines;
- provision of prosthetic devices, hearing aids, pacemakers, and hygiene products;
- partial payment for dental prosthetics;
- repayment of utility bills;
- purchase of solid fuel and liquefied gas;
- purchase of building materials for home repairs;
- assistance in difficult life situations and other measures.
Monthly assistance to the families of fallen (deceased) defenders has been approved in the amount of UAH 5 thousand. A total of UAH 3 million 300 thousand will be allocated for these needs. Monthly assistance to persons with war-related disabilities is 2 thousand hryvnias, for a total of 960 thousand hryvnias.
The cost of burying the dead is planned at UAH 500 thousand. These funds will be used to compensate for the services of the Izmail City Funeral Service. UAH 1 million will be allocated for the installation of tombstones on the Walk of Fame of the Izmail City Cemetery. Compensation for transportation of injured soldiers to medical facilities for examination - UAH 300 thousand.
UAH 173 thousand is reserved for other items of the program. In addition, UAH 15 thousand will be invested in the creation of a veterans' space in the community. It is planned that this space will become a dialog platform for local authorities and war veterans. Another function of the space is to socialize war veterans through informal communication, business advice, individual and group mental support.
The program takes into account a wide range of needs, from medical and social to funeral services, and aims to improve the living conditions of the heroes who gave their health and lives for the freedom of our country.
