Former MP Granovsky returned to suspect status in the OPP case

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has returned the notice of suspicion to former MP Oleksandr Hranovskyi, which was previously canceled by the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

The relevant decision of the Appellate Judge was published in the Unified Court Register.

It is a suspicion of organizing a scheme by the MP, which operated from March to December 2015, and due to which the plant lost more than UAH 94 million in revenue. In March 2020, the investigation notified four participants in the scheme of suspicion, including the former MP's trustee, the plant's deputy director, the head of the OPP department, and the owner of a non-resident company involved in the corruption scheme. In November 2022, the NABU put Oleksandr Hranovskyi on the wanted list.

According to the investigation, the former MP organized a scheme whereby the plant sold mineral fertilizers at reduced prices to a predetermined company. This company resold the goods to foreign companies at market prices, but the actual delivery was made by the OPP.

Oleksandr Hranovskyi<b> is</b> a Ukrainian businessman, millionaire, and member of the Ukrainian parliament. He is a former shareholder of the management company Vertex Hotel Group (trademark of L.A.R.K. LLC), which manages hotel facilities: "Bristol and Londonskaya hotels in Odesa and President Hotel in Kyiv. In early 2000, Mr. Granovsky entered politics. In 2002-2006, he was a Member of Parliament of Ukraine of the IV convocation from the SDPU(O) faction and a member of the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

In August 2024, the High Anti-Corruption Court canceled the suspicion against the former MP in this case. At the same time, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office <u>reported at the same time</u>that it did not agree with this decision and appealed it.
