Russian troops continue shelling the de-occupied territories of Kherson region, causing significant damage to residential buildings, hospitals and infrastructure, with many dead and wounded. The police have opened a number of criminal proceedings on war crimes and are documenting the consequences of the attacks.

The de-occupied villages and towns of Kherson and Beryslav districts were again shelled by the Russian army. The enemy used artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, mortars and drones.
The enemy struck 28 settlements in the region. As a result of the shelling, the police recorded damage to 26 objects: three apartment buildings and fifteen private houses, a medical facility, three police cars, two civilian cars, a gas pipeline and an outbuilding.
Multiple launch rocket systems were used in Mykilske, where a 46-year-old man was killed. Artillery strikes hit Bilozerka, damaging a hospital and setting off a dry vegetation fire. The shelling also damaged a car and an outbuilding in Komyshany and two private houses in Beryslav.
FPV drones hit two private houses in Monastyrske and Novovorontsovka, three houses in Shyroka Balka, and a house and a car in Ukrainka.
In the morning, Russian troops shelled the Dniprovsky district of Kherson, damaging three apartment buildings and seven private houses, as well as a gas pipeline. A 71-year-old woman was injured, suffering from a mine-blast injury and contusion.
During the evacuation of residents of the Korabel neighborhood, the enemy fired at evacuation groups, damaging three patrol police cars. According to law enforcement officials, there were no casualties, but the police were removing shell fragments and documenting the consequences of the attacks.
Over the past day, law enforcement received 469 statements and reports of criminal offenses and other incidents. Fifteen proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - war crimes.
As of the evening of August 7, 1,226 people were evacuated from the Korabel neighborhood in Kherson, including 56 children and 129 people with limited mobility. Since the beginning of the year, 90 people have been killed in the region, including a one-year-old child, and 893 people have been injured.
