Eight people injured in Kherson region due to Russian shelling

Eight people were injured.

They hit critical and social infrastructure; residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, four high-rise buildings and eight private houses were damaged. The occupiers also damaged a gas pipeline and a private car.

The head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, posted this on Facebook on the morning of August 7.

Thirty-seven settlements have been hit by Russian fire recently.

Antonivka, Berehove, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Velytenske, Veselne, Virivka, Havrylivka, Doslidne, Dudchany, Zymivnyk, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, Komyshany, Mykilske, Mykolaivka, Mykolaivka were under enemy drone terror, artillery shelling and air strikes, Mylove, Mykhailivka, Novokaira, Oleksandrivka, Odradokamyanka, Osokorivka, Prydniprovske, Romashkove, Sablukivka, Sofiyivka, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Tyahyntka, Urozhayne, Khreschenivka, Chornobaivka, Shevchenivka, Shyroka Balka, Shlyakhove, Yantarne, and the city of Kherson.

In Kherson, the first deputy chairman of the regional council, Yuriy Sobolevsky, was wounded by enemy shelling . According to him, he sustained a contusion. He was indoors during the shelling and did not receive shrapnel wounds, but suffered from the blast wave.

A new commission has been set up in the Kherson community to receive applications from Kherson residents for compensation for damaged or destroyed housing.

About fifty applications have been received from the Korabel neighborhood, including eighteen from people with limited mobility. Among them are 31 children. According to the official, the prospect of further staying in the neighborhood is not bright. Due to the damage to the bridge, it will be difficult to deliver food for some time. After a certain period of time, the gas supply will be cut off.
