As of the evening of August 7, one thousand two hundred and twenty-six people, including ten-six children and one hundred and twenty-nine people with limited mobility, were evacuated from the Korabel neighborhood in Kherson.
Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson MVA, reported this in his Telegram.
According to him, as of 18:00 today, three hundred and one people, including twenty-three people with limited mobility, have been evacuated from the neighborhood.
The head of the MVA noted that there are cases when evacuated residents return to the neighborhood.
"This is unacceptable! You are putting yourself in danger by your actions. I urge you not to do anything rash and to protect yourself and your families," emphasized Shanko.
Vladyslav Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, denied the information spread on social media about the alleged landing of enemy subversive reconnaissance groups in Kherson. "The bridge that connects the mainland of the city and the Korabel neighborhood was damaged by the Russians, so it is a logistics issue that is important for the civilian population. It is not important for the defense of the city.
Three settlements in the Kherson region have been recognized as dangerous for life. The reason is constant shelling and drone attacks by the Russian army. The population needs urgent evacuation. However, the head of the Kherson regional administration decided not to force anyone to leave.
The documents of the State Notary Archive of the Kherson region were successfully evacuated and temporarily placed in neighboring Mykolaiv. This extremely difficult process was made possible by the coordinated work of the Kherson Regional Military Administration and with the support of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
