The SBI exposed doctors of the Odesa territorial recruitment center who were massively issuing false conclusions of the military medical commission without the presence of recruits. Law enforcement officers identified all the participants in the scheme and notified the members of the freelance commission of the MEC of the Primorsky RTC and the Odesa SP of suspicion.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

The doctors acted in collusion with participants in a large-scale corruption scheme that the SBI had previously exposed.

According to the investigation, the deal was organized by a local resident who involved an employee of the Center for Support of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, an employee of the Primorsky RTC and JV, and two other acquaintances.

The investigation established new facts: doctors issued "fake" conclusions on the passage of the preliminary medical examination for persons liable for military service from different regions of Ukraine without their actual presence. One doctor could sign the conclusions both for himself and for other members of the commission. Such documents allowed conscripts to illegally receive a deferment from service.

Currently, four members of the commission have been notified of suspicion of forgery (Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation has been completed and the indictment has been sent to court. The sanction of the article provides for a sentence of up to three years of imprisonment.

Also in Odesa region, the case of a district military commissariat officer and two law enforcement officers suspected of a corruption scheme related to military registration was brought to court. According to the investigation, they took money and promised to exclude persons liable for military service from search bases. It is believed that in exchange for bribes, they helped people liable for military service to be deregistered from theOberih database.

All three are charged with obtaining undue advantage for themselves and third parties for influencing decision-making by officials.
