The cost of an hour of parking on the Odesa coast during the 2026 beach season has not yet been determined, and the municipality has little time to do so.

This became known during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Transport and Roads on April 13.

According to Yevhen Tyabus, director of Odestransparkservice, in order to calculate the cost of parking, the company needs the city council to appoint the company as the operator of these parking lots. He also noted that the period of use of the parking lots is from May 1 to September 31, and the next meeting of the city council is scheduled for April 29, which leaves the company little time.

"We need to purchase information signs that will indicate how much an hour of parking will cost and until what time the site is open. We have not yet calculated the rates for use. We need a decision of the session for this. So realistically, it will be no earlier than June," he said.

A representative of the Department of Transport noted that a car collapse at these sites in the absence of barriers is planned to be avoided thanks to the work of parking inspectors. The possibility of benefits for large families is also being considered, but this would require changes to the decision of the executive committee, and the municipality is currently considering the mechanism for granting this benefit, or rather how to prove that a family is large.

In March, Odestransparkservice developed plans for paid parking lots near city beaches. Currently, parking lots near the beaches are planned: "Lanzheron, Dolphin, Zolotyi Bereg, Dolphin, and Fontanska Road from Lvivska Street to Garshina Street.
