Odestransparkservice has developed schemes for paid parking lots near city beaches.

This was announced by Petro Obukhov, a deputy of the Odesa City Council.

"We have already developed parking schemes for 567 spaces. They have been agreed with the police and the mayor's office. Next is the executive committee, the session, and the approval of the tariff. All this should be done by May 1," the deputy noted.

He also emphasized that these parking lots should bring the city up to UAH 20 million per season. Currently, according to the KP's response to the deputy's appeal, plans have been developed for a total of 567 parking spaces, including 62 spaces for people with disabilities. The total area of the parking lots is 8,138 square meters.

Parking lots near the beaches are currently planned: "Lanzheron, Dolphin, Zolotyi Bereg, Dolphin, and Fontanska Road from Lvivska Street to Garshina Street.

Earlier, Svitlana Murina , head of the Odesproekt utility company, presented a project to improve the embankment from the Lanzheron traverse to the Zolotyi Bereg traverse at a meeting of the Accessibility Council. The project in the current stage involves the improvement of the pedestrian zone - the promenade. The entire area from Lanzheron to Vidrada is proposed to be made on one level, i.e. without sidewalks. As Svitlana Murina explained, this should make it more convenient for people in wheelchairs to move along the promenade.

In addition to the ramps, there are places reserved for seven primary shelters to add to the existing ones. Thus, there should be 16 shelters along the entire embankment. In addition, 23 garbage collection sites and three additional restrooms are planned, including an inclusive restroom near the proposed rowing station near the cable car and another one near the Santorini plaza.
