Destroyed houses, people killed: occupants shelled 38 settlements in Kherson region

During the day, Russian troops attacked 38 settlements in the Kherson region. The shelling killed two civilians and injured 14 others.

According to the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the occupiers struck at residential areas and civilian infrastructure. Kherson and 37 other settlements, including Antonivka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Kizomys, Tyahynka, Olhivka and Novooleksandrivka, came under enemy fire.

The invaders damaged two multi-story buildings and 19 private houses, destroyed a gas pipeline, a storage facility, garages and civilian vehicles.

The attacks killed 2 civilians and injured 14 others.

Prosecutors in Kherson region have launched a pre-trial investigation into war crimes committed by the Russian military (parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on January 28, 2025, Russian troops attacked settlements in the Kherson region using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, mortars, drones, and a guided aerial bomb.

Russian attacks also damaged 18 civilian objects, including residential buildings and other infrastructure.

Law enforcement officers continue to document the consequences of the crimes in order to bring the perpetrators to justice.

A school building in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson was heavily damaged during hostile shelling.

Before that, the Russians damaged two high-rise buildings and 9 private houses. The occupants also damaged outbuildings, a garage and private cars. Three people were injured.

Earlier, Russian troops fired twice at the rescuers. During the shelling of one of Kherson's neighborhoods, an employee of the State Emergency Service was injured while performing emergency rescue operations. He was hospitalized.
