Leader of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarovcalled on residents of occupied Crimea to temporarily move away from Russian military facilities on the peninsula.

According to Krym.Realii, Chubarov said that due to the possible escalation of missile and drone attacks between Ukraine and Russia, Crimea may become one of the priority targets for strikes on the military infrastructure of the occupiers.

Chubarov noted that after Moscow's recent statements and threats of new strikes on Kyiv, there is a risk of increased mutual attacks.

"The occupied Crimea, due to the large number of Russian military facilities, is a territory that is a priority for strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine," he emphasized.

In this regard, the Mejlis leader advised Crimean residents whose homes are located near Russian military bases to move to safer areas for at least a week starting May 26.

According to Chubarov, the Russian military is placing its facilities next to civilian infrastructure, which creates additional danger for civilians.

Recently, after reports of a series of explosions and a fire in the temporarily occupied Dzhankoy, the railway station was closed and trains were diverted, while passengers were transported by buses.

Also, on May 23 and on the night of May 24, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a series of strikes on military and logistics facilities of the Russian occupiers, in particular in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one of the targets was an ammunition depot near the village of Mizhhirya in the occupied Crimea. In addition, the Ukrainian military hit a number of Russian army supply facilities.

In addition, on the night of May 16 and 17, the Armed Forces of Ukraine's unmanned aerial systems conducted a series of strikes on Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea and three other regions of Ukraine. One of the key targets was the strategic secure communications hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the village of Myrnyi.
