The court has announced the verdict against the illegal head of a social service center in Kakhovka, Kherson region. The director was sentenced to 11 years in prison, but so far in absentia.
This is stated in the verdict of the Ternopil City District Court.
According to the case file, the 45-year-old defendant voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupation authorities in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region.
From June 2022 to January 2024, she headed an illegally created territorial social service center in Kakhovka. In particular, the traitor recruited staff, approved job descriptions, and issued orders.
In addition, from December 2022 to January 2023, she visited the central district hospital in Kakhovka, which was seized by the Russian occupiers, received death certificates with Russian stamps and terminated social assistance on their basis.
According to the Center for Investigative Journalism, this is Olga Volik. In June 2023, Volik received a letter of appreciation from the Russian leadership for her "conscientious work, initiative and active citizenship."
"She is the daughter of the late Nadezhda Vinogradova, a deputy of the Kakhovka City Council of the previous convocation from the Revival party, who was also a fan of the 'Russian world,'" the statement said.
The court found the woman guilty of aiding the aggressor state (Part 2 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced her in absentia to 11 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Recently, a 54-year-old traitor from Kherson, Oleksandr Nadel, who voluntarily agreed to serve in the Russian police during the occupation, was tried.
Another collaborator from Beryslav, who helped the Russian occupiers search for Ukrainian patriots, was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Before that, the court sentenced a resident of Chornobaivka who organized a base for Russian military equipment and helped to resettle Russians during the occupation of Kherson region.
