Conflict with the TCC in Odesa ended in shots fired

Police officers detained a 25-year-old serviceman in Odesa who was shooting in the air in the Khadzhybey district of the city.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa region.

The police found that a passerby, a 25-year-old serviceman, began to interfere with the mobilization activities of the alert group. In the course of the conflict, the man made several shots in the air, first with a starter pistol.

No one was injured in the incident. The offender was taken to the territorial police department.

Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Security Service of Ukraine, exposed an employee of the Kyiv District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support in Odesa. For USD 7.5 thousand, the offender promised to arrange a transfer to another military unit in Odesa region. In the future, this was supposed to help avoid responsibility for unauthorized leaving the unit.

In total, since the beginning of 2026, 14 cases of attacks on servicemen of alert groups of territorial recruitment and social support centers have been recorded in Odesa region, including with the use of knives, firearms and gas. As a result of such an incident in May, two servicemen were stabbed. According to him, the victims underwent emergency surgery.

The management of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support reported an armed attack on servicemen while they were performing their duties in Podil district of Odesa region.

In the same month, a group of unidentified individuals in Odesa disrupted the transportation of conscripts by attacking a military vehicle. While the security forces were recovering from the use of gas and damage to the vehicle, several passengers disappeared in the midst of the incident.
