A group of unidentified people in Odesa disrupted the transportation of conscripts by attacking a government vehicle. While the security forces were recovering from gas and damage to the vehicle, several passengers disappeared in the midst of the incident.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional TCC and JV.

In Odesa, a vehicle of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support was attacked while transporting people liable for military service to the mobilization center. The incident occurred during the transportation of conscripts for a military medical examination.

According to the CCC and JV, two civilian cars blocked the movement of official vehicles, after which a group of unidentified persons damaged the windows of the car and sprayed irritant gas into the cabin. As a result, there was a threat to the lives and health of the escort servicemen and passengers.

The center noted that the attackers' actions could have been pre-planned and aimed at disrupting mobilization. During the incident, three conscripts took advantage of the situation and fled the scene.

The management of the institution has already initiated an appeal to law enforcement agencies to identify all those involved in the attack. The actions of the participants in the incident will be qualified in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

At the end of April, the Security Service of Ukraine detained military personnel of the Peresypsk Territorial Recruitment Center who were acting in collusion with a local resident who also served at the TRC.

The investigation established that the military extorted money from citizens. In case of refusal, they used violence and threatened to send the victims to the front line as part of assault units. According to the case file, all this took place in a TCC minibus, where the victims were dragged by force.
