Two fighters of the TCC were hospitalized after a clash with a man armed with a knife

The leadership of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support reported an armed attack on military personnel while they were performing their duties in Podil district of Odesa region.

According to the press service of the regional recruiting and social support center, on May 10, in the village of Baibuzivka, Savran village community, Podil district, a warning group together with representatives of the National Police stopped a citizen to check his military registration documents. As a result of the check, the military found that the person was wanted for violating the rules of military registration.

While escorting the offender to the territorial recruitment center for processing administrative materials, the citizen committed an armed attack on the personnel of the alert group. Using a cold steel weapon, the offender inflicted numerous stab wounds to two servicemen. Both victims have been hospitalized in serious condition, and doctors are fighting for their lives.

"This is a deliberate attempt to kill the defenders of Ukraine who were performing a state task. No circumstances can justify the commission of a particularly serious criminal offense against members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Such manifestations of aggression are a direct blow to the state's defense capability and the security of society," the regional military and civilian crisis center said.

Earlier, a group of unidentified persons in Odesa disrupted the transportation of conscripts by attacking a government vehicle. While the security forces were recovering from the use of gas and damage to the vehicle, several passengers disappeared in the midst of the incident.

Also, Vadym Anokhin, an actor of the Odesa Academic Regional Drama Theater, filed a complaint with the police against employees of the territorial center for recruitment and social support, who beat him and broke his finger.
