Child dies in Kherson region due to Russian aggression

Over the past 24 hours, Russians attacked more than three dozen settlements in Kherson region. Houses, infrastructure and cars were hit. A child died as a result of the shelling.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

Between the morning of May 24 and the morning of May 25, dozens of settlements in Kherson region came under heavy fire from drones, artillery and aircraft. In particular, the strikes hit Kherson, Beryslav, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Komyshany, Stanislav, Kizomys, Mykilske, Tyahyntsi, Osokorivka, Ivanivka, Oleksandrivka and other communities.

The Russian military shelled residential areas and critical infrastructure. The attacks damaged at least 7 high-rise buildings, 7 private houses and several cars of local residents.

The worst result of the day was the death of a child. Nine more people were injured, including two children.

From May 22 to 23, Kherson region again came under heavy fire from Russian invaders. The shelling destroyed a multi-story building, damaged 17 private houses, a gas pipeline, a warehouse, a garage and several cars. Three people were killed and six others were injured.

The day before, Russian troops attacked more than 35 settlements in the region, using drones, artillery and aircraft. At least four high-rise buildings, nine private houses, gas pipelines and several cars were damaged. As a result of these attacks, 11 people were injured. An 85-year-old woman died as a result of the shelling.

From May 20 to May 21, the occupiers shelled at least 30 settlements. In the early morning of May, Russian troops opened artillery fire on Kherson. At least eight multi-storey buildings, four private houses, and social infrastructure facilities, including a service station, sewage treatment plant, and a bus, were damaged. As a result, ten civilians were injured.

At the same time, a large-scale exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia in the 1000-for-1000 format started on the same day and will last for three days. The first stage has already been completed: 270 soldiers and 120 civilians, including defenders of the Kherson region, have been returned home. Later, three more victims of a drone attack in Bilozerka were reported.
