In the first seven months of 2025, companies in Mykolaiv region received almost UAH 371 million in value added tax (VAT) refunds from the state budget. The money was received by 47 companies that operate officially and pay taxes.

This was reported by the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

The tax authority explains that VAT refunds are a legal practice that allows companies to return funds paid for the purchase of goods or services. This is a kind of support for 'white' businesses that operate without schemes and fraud. The system operates transparently, without human intervention - thanks to electronic control, it is impossible to negotiate or falsify anything, the regional tax service notes.

"VAT refunds are important for companies, because this money is used for development: purchasing raw materials, upgrading equipment, or paying salaries. And as a result, it means additional jobs and economic growth in the region.

The White Business Club in Ukraine includes 312 companies from Odesa region. In Mykolaiv region, there are currently 179 such companies. As of July 15, 2025, the register of bona fide taxpayers, which was given the conditional name "White Business Club," includes 8,882 Ukrainian companies, 312 of which are registered in Odesa region. These calculations were made public by analysts of the Opendatabot platform, citing data from the State Tax Service.

The White Business Club, which began to be formed in October 2024, includes companies that must demonstrate openness, pay taxes in good faith, submit reports, and have no ties to Russia.
