A dispute has arisen in Mykolaiv over the lease of a land plot at the bus station. The company has blocked part of the territory with barriers and refuses to pay rent for other plots.

The issue was discussed during a meeting of the city council's standing committee on ecology and nature management.

In Mykolaiv, a conflict has broken out over a large land plot of 13,608 m² at 21 Bahayanskogo Street. Altair Company requested technical documentation to determine its "ideal share" of the territory, which is currently shared by several companies. The company stated that it planned to pay rent only for the part of the plot where its real estate is located.

The land plot contains buildings and infrastructure for servicing the residential facility of the bus station. Previously, the company used the land under a lease agreement dated 2012, which expired in 2022, and today the company has no technical documentation that would fix the area and boundaries of the land plot.

At the same time, the commission members emphasized that the territory is also used by other companies, and there are parking lots and kiosks on it that previously belonged to third parties.

Currently, there is no information on the extension of the contract and the actual payment of rent for the entire period of use. As noted during the discussion of the issue, the provision of technical documentation will allow to determine the share of Altair LLC in the territory and calculate losses for previous periods if the rent is not paid in full.

According to the commission, Altair LLC has now fenced off the territory with barriers and pays rent only for the part of the site where its real estate is located. Other plots, parking lots and paving remain unattended by the company. The commission members noted that the situation needs to be studied in detail to determine the actual distribution of land use and the procedure for calculating rent.

In early February, a session of the city council was convened in Mykolaiv. The agenda includes decisions regarding the future of the city's key utilities.
