A 100 thousand prepayment was found on the purchase of eggs for school meals in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv has signed a contract for school meals with a possible prepayment of one hundred thousand hryvnias. The supplier has to deliver more than 70 thousand eggs by the end of the year.

The municipal enterprise responsible for organizing catering in Mykolaiv educational institutions entered into an agreement for the purchase of eggs without an open tender.

The purchase price exceeds the market price, which has raised suspicions about the efficiency of the use of budget funds.

It is planned to purchase 78 thousand eggs for a total of UAH 609.5 thousand, which is UAH 7.8 per egg.

At the same time, supermarket prices for eggs are lower at retail. Experts estimate that the overpayment may exceed UAH 100 thousand due to the inflated price.

The goods are to be delivered by December 31, 2024.

The supplier was selected as a private enterprise Rhythm from Kherson, founded by Lyudmyla Hanetska. The company has been operating since 1997 and specializes in wholesale trade. The company actively cooperates with budgetary institutions, having signed agreements worth more than UAH 336 million, mostly in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

The deal raised questions about the reasonableness of the price, given the volume of purchases and market opportunities.

The former parliamentary candidate also received eight hundred thousand for a tender for fruit for Mykolaiv schools. By the end of 2024, it is planned to purchase 4,356 kilograms of first-grade oranges and 7,000 kilograms of bananas. The expected cost of the purchase was UAH 991,736.

Previously, this company supplied the most expensive beef for customers in Mykolaiv and Odesa regions for budgetary funds.

For the second year in a row, the breadwinner for schoolchildren in the Khadzhybey district of Odesa has been selected without an auction. The procurement was conducted in the format of an open tender with special features on October 25, and the only participant was the private enterprise Ration Group. The company expects to receive more than UAH 10 million for the work.
