The canteen in Mykolaiv gymnasium will be renovated. More than UAH 23 million is planned to be spent from the state budget. This is the second attempt to find a contractor for this procurement.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro procurement system.

The customer of the works was the Capital Construction Department of Mykolaiv City Council. The expected cost of the procurement is UAH 23 million 369 thousand 653.

It is planned to overhaul the catering department of Mykolaiv gymnasium No. 52.

The minimum price reduction step is UAH 233 thousand 696. Bidders must provide a tender offer of UAH 116,848.

The auction is scheduled to start on October 17, 2024. The winner must also provide a bank guarantee for the fulfillment of the agreement, which is 1% of the contract value.

All repairs must be completed by January 31, 2025. The contractor will be paid upon acceptance of the works.

The contractor has the right to insure the construction object or work performance on its own initiative. In addition to standard repair works, the contractor shall perform plumbing works, install ventilation, heating, electric lighting, fire alarm, public address system, and lightning protection. The contractor is also to reconstruct the facade, repair the external sewage system, pave the courtyard with asphalt, and plant lawns.

In September, the Mykolaiv City Council's Capital Construction Department announced a tender to renovate the canteen for schoolchildren in two of the city's gymnasiums. It was planned to spend almost 45 million hryvnias.

Thus, more than 22 million hryvnias were going to be spent on the overhaul of the canteen at Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 46 and Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 52. The bidding for the latter purchase was canceled. The reason given was "the impossibility of eliminating the identified violations of the legislation in the field of public procurement."

More than five million hryvnias were planned to be spent from the budget. The source of funding is the local budget and a subvention from the state budget.

In September, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the allocation of subventions for the purchase of equipment and modernization of school canteens. In Mykolaiv, four educational institutions received funding. In Mykolaiv, four educational institutions received a subvention totaling about UAH 80 million. Mykolaiv gymnasium No. 52 received UAH 19 million 554 thousand 074 to repair the canteen. The gymnasium with 1609 students will receive the status of a hub kitchen.

The Government allocated funds for the restoration and modernization of canteens for healthy nutrition of children back in August.
