- "Odeschyna started its first season of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey Championship on home ice. The opponent was a principled one - Storm, which also represents Odesa, although this season it plays its home games in Vinnytsia because the management of the Odesa Sports Palace failed to reach an agreement during the preparation for the season. Despite the fact that the nominal guests had the advantage, it was the newcomers who managed to seize the advantage in the first period and eventually bring the match to victory. Storm's poor offense was evident - out of 50 shots, only 3 resulted in a goal, while Odeschyna converted 17 shots into 4 goals.
- In its first match of the season, Storm also lost on the road, as Kyiv's Sokil managed to win back the handicap by two goals.
